Repeat Prescription Requests
Please allow 72 hours (3 working days) for the Practice to process and issue your repeat prescription.
This timeframe refers only to the GP Practice processing time and does not include the additional time your pharmacy will need to dispense your medication.
To avoid running out, please request your repeat medication 7–10 days before you are due to finish your current supply.
This information is also available in our Practice leaflet and onsite notices.
Ordering Your Prescriptions Online
You can order your repeat prescriptions quickly and securely using the NHS App.
The NHS App allows you to:
• View your repeat medications
• Request prescriptions
• Check when your medication has been issued
• Nominate or change your pharmacy
If you haven’t already, download the NHS App from the App Store or Google Play and follow the instructions to link it to your GP record.
Medication Reviews
Some patients require regular medication reviews. If you are due one, you will normally receive a message or be contacted by the practice. These reviews help ensure your medication is safe and effective.
Urgent Medication Requests
If you have run out of medication unexpectedly, call your practice as soon as possible. Please note that urgent requests cannot always be guaranteed, so it’s important to request your prescriptions in good time.
Pharmacy Requests
Your nominated pharmacy can also request medication on your behalf, but we encourage patients to use the NHS App where possible so you maintain full visibility and control of your prescriptions.
