There is currently a national push vaccinating groups who are at risk of the complications of coronavirus. Willows Health has no individual control as to when vaccinations are received.
The vaccination deliveries are determined by HM Government Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the local Clinical Commissioning Group priorities.
What is the order of prioritisation for the vaccinations?
The order by which vaccinations will be prioritised is determined by the risk of complications from Coronavirus. The government has deemed the following groups to be vaccinated in order (referenced in image)
Which vaccinations will you be delivering?
The UK MHRA has approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca, and Moderna vaccines. Willows Health does not have control over the type of vaccinations delivered to us.
What is the vaccination schedule?
It is likely that the vaccinations will be delivered 12 weeks apart as per government guidance to vaccinate as many people as possible in the shortest period.
Where will people be vaccinated?
Leicester City CCG has deemed the Peepul Centre in Leicester City to be a central vaccination hub. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination will be delivered from this vaccination centre.
It is possible the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccination can be delivered locally by your local practice as this can be stored at a higher temperature in a normal vaccine fridge.
